At a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers on October 23, Deputy Prime Minister Esenmyrat Orazgeldiev , who oversees the agro- industrial complex, recalled that in honor of the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan's independence, 30 million seedlings are planned to be planted in the country.

In the spring of this year, more than 15 million were planted, and now preparations are underway for the autumn planting campaign, according to the state information agency TDH .

President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov ordered the Deputy Prime Minister to ensure a high organizational level of the upcoming nationwide planting campaign.

On February 12, the president ordered to plant 30 million seedlings this year in honor of the 30th anniversary of independence: 10 million in Ashgabat and 20 million in the velayats.

On March 20, the head of state and deputy prime ministers planted seedlings near the park, located next to the construction site of the Garagum hotel. Last time this park, which was named «Watançy» ( «The Patriot"), Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov inspected on 2 October.
