The Central Bank of Azerbaijan has published a statistical bulletin on the results of the first quarter of 2023. The document says that as of the end of March, 590.5 million manats of loans were overdue in the country. This is down by 2.6% from the same period of the last year. Problem loans in the country decreased by 0.5% as compared to the end of the last year and by 13.8% over the past year. As of the beginning of April this year, a share of overdue loans in the total loan portfolio amounted to 2.9%. This index was 3% at the beginning of March, 2.9% at the beginning of January and 3.8% at the beginning of April last year.
