At the auctions of the State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan over the past week, 20 transactions were registered for 7 million 897 thousand US dollars.
During the auction, businessmen from the United Arab Emirates and China purchased gasoline, aviation kerosene and paraffin slack produced at the Turkmenbashi complex of oil refineries, and entrepreneurs from Afghanistan purchased liquefied gas produced at the Seydi refinery. In addition, cotton yarn, plain-dyed and jacquard terry products were sold to merchants from the UAE and Kyrgyzstan.
Entrepreneurs from Russia, the United Arab Emirates, Turkey and Kazakhstan purchased cotton yarn and handmade carpets for manats. The total amount of transactions amounted to 31 million 947 thousand manats.
For the domestic market, Turkmen businessmen purchased Portland cement for 164,000 US dollars, as well as high-density polyethylene (SC "Turkmenhimiya") and handmade carpets for 13,321,000 manats.
