28 schools and universities receive bomb threat reports in Bishkek

At least 28 educational institutions have been cordoned off in Bishkek. Law enforcement agencies informed 24.kg news agency.

The police received the first reports of bombs planted in schools at 8.30 a.m.

At the moment, schools No. 61, 6, 19, 51, 52, 4, 67, 65, 85, 63, 62, 90, 59, 58, 9, 27, 17, 33, 8, Oxford International School, QSI International School of Bishkek, Refal educational complex and the Kyrgyz-Japanese school have been evacuated.

In addition, reports of a planted explosive device were received by the Kyrgyz National University, lyceum No. 98, the main building and Innovative College of the American University of Central Asia, as well as the Bishkek Humanities University.

«It is known that there were no students in some educational institutions. All buildings have been cordoned off, people have been evacuated,» the law enforcement agencies said.

Recall, reports of allegedly planted explosive devices in schools, colleges, universities and shopping centers were received twice last week.

This is not the first hoax callers’ attack. Similar messages were received by educational institutions and shopping centers of the capital on March 22, January 20, April 18 and April 20. The organizers have not yet been found. Deputy Chairman of the State Committee for National Security Aibek Shamenov said that the accounts from which messages were sent are registered on the territory of Ukraine and Russia. The Ministry of Education instructed to strengthen security measures in schools, colleges and higher education institutions.
