Thirty public organizations will invest over one-point-three trillion won on research and development next year.
The Ministry of Science, ICT and Future Planning recently submitted an R and D investment proposal for public organizations to the National Science and Technology Council, which deliberated on the plan and approved it Monday.
The public agencies, including K Water and Korea Rural Community Corporation, also operate affiliate research institutes.
Most of the funds will go to nine, promising technology sectors designated by the ministry, like ICT, software, health and medical care, energy and resources, agriculture and fishery, and construction and transport.
