On December 9, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov signed a Decree on pardon in honor of the International Day of Neutrality of 308 citizens of Turkmenistan, the state information agency TDH reports .
The Chairman of the Commission for the preparation of proposals on issues of citizenship and pardon, Defense Minister Begench Gundogdyev was instructed to take measures to ensure that the pardoned citizens return home as soon as possible.
In honor of the International Day of Neutrality 2021, 338 people were pardoned .
In Turkmenistan, pardon actions are held 3-4 times a year and are timed to coincide with major holidays. Serdar Berdimuhamedov last pardoned 829 citizens of Turkmenistan and 4 foreigners on September 23 in honor of Independence Day.
