338 people pardoned in honor of the Day of Neutrality

At a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers on December 10, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov said that "according to tradition, on the eve of big holidays, pardons are held for citizens convicted of crimes, but regretting what they have done and sincerely repenting of it."

Then the head of state signed a decree pardoning 338 people in honor of the International Day of Neutrality, the state news agency TDH reports .

Hyakims of velayats, etraps and cities, as well as other leaders were instructed to find jobs for the released citizens.

In September, on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan's independence, the President pardoned 2,058 Turkmen citizens and 6 foreign citizens.

On May 7, on the eve of Gadyr gijesi, the head of state pardoned 982 citizens of Turkmenistan and 53 foreigners, including 16 Jehovah 's Witnesses and three citizens of Iran.
