40 billion cubic meters (bcm.) of gas has been transported through the Trans Adriatic Pipeline (TAP) to Europe over the past four years, APA-Economics reports citing TAP Consortium. "TAP has delivered 40 bcm of gas to Europe in four years. This milestone demonstrates the dedication of our teams in Greece, Italy, Albania, and Switzerland. We are on track to add 1.2 bcm annually by 2026 to support Europe's energy security and sustainability," the statement said. The Trans-Adriatic Pipeline (TAP) is the European branch of the Southern Gas Corridor (SGC), which is a complex value chain of energy projects for the transportation of natural gas to Europe within the framework of the second stage of exploitation of the "Shah Deniz" gas-condensate field in the Caspian Sea of Azerbaijan. Currently, the shareholders of TAP are: BP - 20%, SOCAR (SGC) - 20%, Snam S.p.A. - 20%, Fluxys - 20%, and Enagás - 20%. Note that the transportation of Azerbaijani gas to Europe via TAP began on December 31, 2020. Source: Azeri-P ress news agency
