As of June 1 this year, 105.400 entities or 62.8% of 167.600 commercial entities registered in Azerbaijan were active taxpayers, tax authorities said. According to the State Tax Service and the Ministry of Economy, in annual terms the number of commercial organizations grew by 10.4% and the number of active entities among them by 14%. Total of 1,452,702 taxpayers are registered for tax registration in Azerbaijan, which is up by 6.9% from the beginning of June 2022. Physical entities account for 87.3% of them, while legal entities and other organizations account for 12.7%. There are 32,490 VAT payers, which is up by 15.3% from an appropriate period of 2022
