740 million soms to be spent on production, supply of E-passport forms

A tender for the production and supply of electronic passport forms has been announced. The public procurement portal says.

According to it, the tender was announced by the Ministry of Digital Development of Kyrgyzstan. It plans to spend 739,425,350 soms on it. The competitive announcement indicates that the purchase will be carried out by one-stage method. There is no information about the lots, their cost, technical characteristics.

Recall, at the end of February the President Sadyr Japarov said that Uchkun state printing house would print the passports of Kyrgyzstanis. According to him, in the future, no government paper should be produced by private companies. Daiyrbek Orunbekov, head of the Information Policy Service of the Presidential Administration, posted on his Facebook page that new modern equipment was being supplied to Uchkun from abroad, and repair work was in full swing. After its completion, the printing house will begin to produce ID cards, international passports, driver’s licenses, and technical passports for cars.
