863 people taken into “citizenship” of Turkmenistan

President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov signed a decree according to which 863 stateless persons permanently residing in the country received Turkmen citizenship, or, as pro government publications write , citizenship. Note that this term applies to monarchies.

According to the TDH state news agency , Minister of Foreign Affairs Rashid Meredov and Secretary of the State Security Council Yaylym Berdiyev have been instructed to provide passports for new citizens within a month, and velayat khakim to arrange the solemn delivery of passports and, if necessary, provide assistance with finding employment and housing.

In 2018, 735 people will receive citizenship , and between 145 and 2017 8,145 people.
