A company from Ukraine received a contract for the construction of a bridge across the Garabogaz Kel Bay in Turkmenistan

The company from Ukraine "Road construction "Altcom" received a contract for the construction of an automobile bridge across the bay in the Caspian Sea Garabogaz Kel (former name Kara-Bogaz-Gol) in Turkmenistan. The corresponding resolution was signed by President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov.

The document authorizes the State Agency of Turkmenistan for the management of the construction of highways to conclude a contract with the Limited Liability Company "Road Construction "Altcom" (Ukraine) for the design and construction of a two-way two-lane road bridge across the bay and supply roads. The new bridge will be part of the Turkmenbashi-Garabogaz-Kazakhstan border highway.

The document prescribes to begin construction work in July 2022 and to hand over the automobile bridge and supply roads with full readiness for operation in June 2024. Altcom has experience in building similar facilities in Turkmenistan. In 2017, the company built road and rail bridges across the Amu Darya in the country.
