A draft agreement on scientific cooperation in the Caspian Sea is being discussed in Ashgabat

The Foreign Ministry of Turkmenistan started the first meeting of representatives of the Caspian countries to discuss the draft agreement between the governments of coastal states on cooperation in the field of scientific research in the Caspian Sea.

The meeting was organized by experts from Azerbaijan, Iran, Kazakhstan, Russia and Turkmenistan by the Foreign Ministry, the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan and the State Enterprise for the Caspian Sea under the President of Turkmenistan.

The initiator of the development and adoption of this agreement is Ashgabat. At the current meeting, a draft agreement on cooperation in scientific research in the Caspian Sea, developed by the Turkmen side, is being considered. During the meeting, experts consider the principles of organizing partnerships between the Caspian countries in the field of scientific study of the Caspian Sea and the related set of issues.
