Ashgabat hosted a regular meeting of the Turkmen-Austrian intergovernmental commission, which was attended by leaders and representatives of a number of government agencies and private companies of the two countries.

The meeting discussed issues of expanding bilateral cooperation in the field of energy, transport, logistics, construction, processing of agricultural products and healthcare.

Particular attention was paid to the issues of attracting the experience and technologies of Austrian companies to create industrial and service enterprises in Turkmenistan, as well as promoting Turkmen products to the markets of Austria and other countries of the European Union. The meeting participants expressed confidence that the new agreements reached during the current meeting, as well as the bilateral business forum held the day before, would contribute to the further development of mutually beneficial partnership. As a result of the meeting, an appropriate protocol was signed.
