A motorcycle race around the Caspian will take place in the spring of 2022

Astrakhan Region Governor Igor Babushkin during a business visit to Azerbaijan proposed a motor race around the Caspian Sea, reports "Interfax".

The motor rally is scheduled for March-April 2022. The first country on the route will be Azerbaijan, then Iran, Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan.

In this regard, the governor asked President Ilham Aliyev to support his idea.

“I would be grateful for your support for this project. It is with pleasure that I invite you to join us in the Azerbaijani sector. I am sure that the upcoming motocross will be another confirmation that the Caspian is a region of friendship and good-neighborliness, "said Igor Babushkin on December 7.

On December 9, Igor Babushkin was received by President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov , but the topic of the motocross was not voiced during the negotiations. The governor proposed to create a logistics center of Turkmenistan in the Astrakhan region, open a regular ferry line between the ports of Olya and Turkmenbashi, as well as build ship hulls at the shipyards of the Astrakhan region, and then transport and equip them at the Balkan shipyard in Turkmenbashi.
