A section of the Turkmen railroad is out of service due to torrential rains

Correspondents of Chronicles of Turkmenistan report that on 14-15 April a section of the railroad was seriously affected in Turkmenistan because of torrential rains.

40 kilometers of railway tracks, where the ground was washed out, are out of service. Passenger trains from Turkmenabad and Serkhetabat to Ashgabat were stopped at Yashlyk station. The passengers were transported to Ashgabat by buses.

The military personnel is engaged in operations to restore the railway communication.

Let us recall that over the past few weeks Ashgabat and select regions of the country have been flooded after torrential rains, which are causing the mudslides.

A 9-storey apartment block sank in the residential district of Parakhat-7/4 in Ashgabat.
