The April 30 issue of the Neutral Turkmenistan newspaper published an announcement of an international tender for the design and construction of the International Clinical Oncology Center for 500 seats in Ashgabat.
The tender was announced by the Ministry of Construction and Architecture by order of the Ministry of Health and Medical Industry.
Applications are accepted until June 10, 2022.
For the first time, the project of the Center was presented to President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov in July 2021. Together with him, the head of state was shown a number of other facilities that are planned to be built in the capital. As noted earlier, the construction of some of them requires the demolition of residential buildings. Demolition has already begun in some areas .
Where the new cancer center will be located is still unclear.
Recall also that at the moment there is a construction of an oncological clinic for 150 places in Dashoguz.
