President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov completed a series of working visits to the regions of the country with a trip to Ahal, which was the final visit by the head of state to review the state of affairs in the agro-industrial complex and socio-economic development in the field.
In the Ahal region, the Turkmen leader familiarized himself with the construction of textile enterprises in the Babadayhan and Kaakhka districts. Both production complexes are planned to be commissioned in 2021, and with their commissioning new industrial clusters will be created for processing cotton into finished products, including new types of cotton.
The President flew by helicopter over farmland, assessing the breadth of the harvest campaign, during which the farmers of Ahal had to fulfill a state order of 400 thousand tons of wheat grain, and then examined the administrative center of the region from the height of the flight, the construction of which started from scratch in April 2019.
The new city is being built on the territory of the Geoktepe district, with the ongoing construction of many residential high-rise buildings and office buildings, social facilities.
During a trip to Ahal, Berdimuhamedov visited one of the processing enterprises in the region, where grain, harvested in 2020, is currently being delivered. Here, the head of state talked with the participants of the strada, including its transport link, tenant farmers and employees of the reception center, visited the laboratory and the finished product packaging workshop.
At a subsequent meeting, the president summarized the results of trips to the regions, noting the good pace of harvesting and other agricultural campaigns, the growing potential of the crop industry as a whole, including the prospects added by the contribution of vegetable growers and gardeners. At the same time, instructions were given to improve the culture of agriculture with a focus on modern technologies and scientific developments.
The head of state also said that a Turkmen delegation was sent to participate in a military parade to be held in Moscow in honor of the 75th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War.
