The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Abdulaziz Kamilov met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Turkey Mevlüt Çavusoglu within the framework of participation in the Second Diplomacy Forum in Antalya, Uzbekistan MFA reports.
The meeting began with mutual congratulations on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Uzbekistan and Turkey (March 4, 1992).
The ministers discussed current issues of multifaceted cooperation between Uzbekistan and Turkey in political, trade-economic, cultural-humanitarian, scientific-educational and other spheres, as well as the interaction between the parties within the framework of international and regional structures.
The schedule of the upcoming joint events at various levels and formats, in particular the holding of the second meeting of Uzbekistan – Turkey High-Level Strategic Cooperation Council, was considered.
The main attention was paid to the expansion of inter-parliamentary dialogue, the promotion of active economic diplomacy, and the development of interregional cooperation.
The parties exchanged views on certain issues of the regional and international agenda.
