About 800 entities engaged in excisable goods sector

The State Tax Service (STS) has disclosed a list of commercial entities engaged in the production, import and sale of goods subject to mandatory labeling within preparations for the application of an automated information system Track and Trace. This is about 880 legal entities and individuals throughout Azerbaijan, including Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic. They are 102 producers of excisable goods (alcohol, spirits and tobacco products), including 13 physical entities. There are 133 entities involved in the import of goods subject to mandatory labelling. Another 800 or so economic entities are engaged in selling them on an invoice basis. The State Tax Service under the Ministry of Economy is moving towards tracing products through the supply chain and tightening the fight against counterfeiting and illegal sales of alcoholic beverages and tobacco products by applying the T and T system in a phased manner. In November 2021 the State Tax Service signed a direct contract with "TT Technologies" Ltd (INN: 1405372861) to establish Track and Trace system, which will cost AZN 78 million 664.400 ($46.2 million) for the state.
