Baku: Nearly 655.2 million tons of oil and 476.8 billion cubic meters of gas have been produced since the commissioning of the "Azeri-Chirag-Gunashli" (ACG) and "Shah Deniz" fields, located in the Azerbaijani sector of the Caspian Sea, as of April 1, 2025. This information was disclosed by the Ministry of Energy to APA-Economics.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the ACG field has yielded 605.6 million tons of oil and 233.2 billion cubic meters of gas, while the Shah Deniz field has produced 49.6 million tons of condensate and 243.6 billion cubic meters of gas. The report further indicates that approximately 653.2 million tons of oil and 174.8 billion cubic meters of gas from these fields have been exported since their commissioning up to April 1, 2025.
During the first quarter of 2025, operational data shows that 6.9 million tons of oil, including condensate, were produced in Azerbaijan. The breakdown includes 4 million tons from ACG, 1 million tons of condensate from Shah Deniz, and 0.14 million tons of condensate from the Absheron field. Additionally, SOCAR, the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan, contributed 1.8 million tons to the production.
The report details that 5.7 million tons of oil, including condensate, were exported during this quarter. Of this, consortia accounted for 4.9 million tons, SOCAR for 0.7 million tons, and the Absheron field for 0.14 million tons.
In the January-March 2025 period, Azerbaijan produced 12.6 billion cubic meters of natural gas. ACG contributed 3.4 billion cubic meters, Shah Deniz 6.8 billion cubic meters, the Absheron field 0.4 billion cubic meters, and SOCAR 2 billion cubic meters. Gas exports during this period totaled 6 billion cubic meters, with 3 billion cubic meters sent to Europe, 2.3 billion cubic meters to Turkey (inclusive of 1.4 billion cubic meters via TANAP), and 0.7 billion cubic meters to Georgia.
