Activists beaten in the Turkmen consulate in Istanbul sued employees of the diplomatic department

Turkmen activists, who were beaten the day before in the consulate of Turkmenistan in Istanbul, filed a complaint with the police to open a criminal case, Haberler reports .

“People were just trying to convey to the president the information that thousands of Turkmen citizens cannot return home because the country's government and diplomats are not making enough efforts. For this, they were attacked and beaten,” the lawyer told reporters.
