Istanbul: Fenerbah§e Vice President Acun Ilicali has resigned from his position as a member of the Board of Directors, APA reports citing Trkiye Today. While the new season preparations continue at the Super League giant Fenerbah§e, an unexpected news of separation has arrived.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Fenerbah§e Vice President Acun Ilicali has stepped down from his role. In a statement made by the yellow-navy blue club, it was stated, "Our Board Member and Vice President Mr. Acun Ilicali has resigned from the Board of Directors. Mr. Acun Ilicali has made very valuable contributions to our Board during his term and his approach, which always prioritizes the interests of our club, has been appreciated by our community. We thank him for his dedicated services so far and wish him success and happiness."
Acun Ilicali also released a farewell message following his decision to resign. In his statement, he expressed, "I would like to share with you that I have resigned from my position as a member of the Board of Directors of Fenerbah§e Sports Club, which I have proudly served. I was born a Fenerbah§e fan. The yellow-navy blue jersey has been the purest and most enthusiastic part of my life since my childhood. Although I faced difficulties during this process under the roof of the Board of Directors, every moment was a great honor for me. I received criticism, found support, and fought. But I never forgot this: Everything here was for Fenerbah§e."
He extended his gratitude to President Ali Ko§, his executive colleagues, the athletes, club staff, and the Fenerbah§e fans, acknowledging their support and collaboration during his tenure.
