"After much reflection, I have made the decision to step down as President of the Asian Development Bank, effective 23 February 2025. It has been an immense honor to serve in this role, and I am incredibly proud of the milestones the ADB has achieved-from our swift COVID-19 response, to repositioning ADB as the Climate Bank for Asia and the Pacific, strengthening domestic resource mobilization, advancing private sector development, and using the Asian Development Fund to support the most vulnerable," Asakawa wrote on his page on X. Masatsugu Asakawa has been serving as ADB President since 17 January 2020. Source: Trend News Agency
