For ten days President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdymukhammedovhave not appeared in public after he had held an extended Cabinet session on 5 July to sum up the performance for the first six months of the year.
It is not reported what the head of the state was doing throughout this period, but on 15 July the state television showed the news report featuring Berdymukhammedov who started his vacation on that day.
The state information agency TDH reports that Berdymukhammedov devoted the first day of his vacation to writing a new, 11th volume of the reference book Medicinal herbs of Turkmenistan and gained inspiration, judging by television footage, in the videos based on the songs he had composed.
After completing the creative work, the head of the state and his granddaughters played with kittens.
