Agenda of cooperation with the UN specialized agencies in the sphere of information technologies is reviewed

Regular meeting of working group for high information technologies and development monitoring, which was formed up for realization of the Framework Programme of cooperation in Sustainable Development between Turkmenistan and United Nations took place in the Yildyz Hotel.

Various aspects of cooperation between ministries and departments of the country and the UN specialized agencies in the main directions of the Programme, which is to support the implementation of national priorities meeting global Sustainable Development Goals, have been discussed during the session.

The main emphasis has been laid on the subjects of introduction of electronic document management system, modern information technologies to all branches of national economy as well as to such important fields as government administration, health protection, education, legal, financial and social spheres, natural protection, culture and mass media.

It was mentioned that this large-scale work is carried out according to the Concept of development of digital economy in Turkmenistan, which covers wide range of directions.

Projects aimed at solution of common objectives specified in 2030 Global Agenda are implemented with support of the UNDP, UNICEF, UNFPA, WHO and other UN agencies by use of advanced world practice and recommendations of international partners.
