“Ahal” and “Altyn Asyr” together won big victories

The 8th round of the national football championship turned out to be successful for the Ahal and Altyn Asyr leading the fight for the championship. Both teams unanimously won big victories and increased the gap from their pursuers.

"Ahal" in this round was visiting the outsider "Nebitchi" in Balkanabat and did not experience any special problems in the game, scoring four goals into the opponent's goal and conceding only one into their own. Resul Khodjaev (9th and 85th minutes) and Didar Durdyev (31st and 45+1st) scored doubles for the winners. The hosts scored Vladislav Kopaev (41st).

An unexpected defeat in this round from Ashgabat, unsuccessfully performing this season, was suffered by the bronze medalist of last year's championship Turkmenbashi Shagadam - 1:2. It is noteworthy that until the last minute the balance was maintained in the match - 1:1. Primorye responded to Merdan Mukhadov's goal (22nd minute) with an accurate shot by Ikhlas Magtymov (41st). Byashim Kurbangeldiyev (90th) scored the winning goal at Ashgabat.

Having suffered the second defeat in a row, "Shagadam" missed the chance to rise to the third position, which is held by "Merv" with 13 points. The fourth line with 12 points is occupied by Kopetdag. The next Shagadam has 11 points.

The 9th round of the Turkmenistan football championship starts on September 13 with matches: Merv - Energetik, Kopetdag - Ashgabat and Shagadam - Nebitchi. And it will end on September 14 with a meeting of the leaders - "Ahal" and "Altyn Asyr".
