Former joint chairman of the minor opposition People's Party Ahn Cheol-soo is out on the street in Seoul for the second day for a signature campaign urging the president's resignation.
In a media release Friday, Ahn compared South Korea under the current political crisis to "a candle flickering in the wind."
He says if the current paralysis all across the board in government affairs persists for the 14 months leading to presidential elections in 2017, the country will be in even bigger trouble.
Ahn says President Park Geun-hye's resignation is a fundamental solution which she should embrace for the sake of the country.
