Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan Akylbek Japarov made a speech at the XVI Forum of creative and scientific intelligentsia of the CIS countries «Through Interaction of Cultures to the Commonwealth and Peace.» Press service of the Cabinet of Ministers reported.
According to him, from time immemorial, the intelligentsia was the beacon and driving force that, thanks to its far-sighted and professional knowledge, looked decades ahead and shaped the social system as eras changed.
«Culture and communication are identical concepts. Based on this, I figuratively imagine culture in the form of an iceberg, which is based on cultural values and norms, and the top is human behavior, based on them and manifested primarily in communication,» the head of the Cabinet noted.
Akylbek Japarov focused on the special role of the CIS Information Council, meeting of which is being held today in Bishkek.
Journalists, being the vanguard of civil society, with their active position make a significant contribution to strengthening peace and harmony in the state.

Kyrgyzstan, as the country chairing the CIS, this year organizes and hosts various events aimed at strengthening interaction in a variety of areas. I am sure that your proposals and initiatives voiced within the Forum will serve to further strengthen integration processes, friendship and mutual understanding between our peoples,» Akylbek Japarov concluded.
