In order to further expand and strengthen the relations between the Czech Republic and Turkmenistan, I have decided to appoint Mr. Vaslav Ilej as the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Czech Republic to Turkmenistan.
His high personal qualities and abilities enable me to believe that he will perform the duties entrusted to him in a manner worthy of Your Majesty's confidence and my approval. In this regard, I ask Your Excellency to accept him kindly and to fully believe everything he will say on my behalf and on behalf of the Government of the Czech Republic.
I ask you to accept my wishes for prosperity to Your Majesty, as well as prosperity for the people of Turkmenistan.

Today, on the instructions of the President of the Republic of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov, Mejlis Speaker G. Mammedova accepted the credentials of the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Czech Republic to Turkmenistan Vaslav Yileg.
On behalf of the Turkmen leader, the leader of the national parliament congratulated the ambassador on his appointment to an important diplomatic position and wished him success in strengthening the traditional friendly and cooperative relations between Turkmenistan and the Czech Republic.
Expressing gratitude for the warm welcome in the Turkmen land, Vaslav Yilek expressed his best wishes to President Serdar Berdimuhamedov on behalf of the leaders of his country.
Noting that it is a great honor to represent his country in Turkmenistan, which has a high international reputation for its peace-loving policy and positive initiatives, the ambassador assured that he will not spare his diplomatic experience and knowledge to develop bilateral relations for the benefit of the welfare of the two countries and friendly peoples.
During the interview, the plenipotentiary spoke about the priorities of the internal and foreign policy implemented by the Turkmen leader. Establishing broad international cooperation for the benefit of world peace and sustainable development is an important direction of that policy. The ambassador was also briefed on the composition of the Parliament and the work of the legislature.
In order to strengthen relations between the two countries, it was emphasized the importance of expanding parliamentary relations, including strengthening cooperation within the framework of prestigious international organizations and institutions.
When discussing the prospects of developing bilateral relations, it was noted that there are great opportunities for expanding trade-economic, cultural-humanitarian relations, especially in the fields of science and education, culture, sports and tourism.
