Today, on the instructions of the President of the Republic of Turkmenistan, Serdar Berdimuhamedov, Speaker of the Mejlis G. Mammedova accepted the credentials of Rodrigo Enrique Arcos Castro, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Chile to Turkmenistan.
The head of the National Parliament congratulated the ambassador on behalf of the Turkmen leader on his appointment to a high diplomatic post and wished him success in strengthening bilateral friendship and cooperation.
Expressing his good wishes and his happiness for being cordially received in the Turkmen land, the Ambassador conveyed the warm greetings and best wishes of the leaders of his country to the President of Turkmenistan. The ambassador said that it is a great honor for him to be the representative of the Republic of Chile in Turkmenistan, which has gained a great reputation in the international space with its peace-loving policy and positive initiatives.
During the interview, the ambassador of the friendly country was introduced to the main directions of the internal and foreign policy of independent, forever neutral Turkmenistan, large-scale reforms implemented on the initiative of the Turkmen leader, as well as major international projects. Particular attention was paid to the socio-economic programs implemented by President Serdar Berdimuhamedov and aimed at increasing the innovative capacity of the national economy, diversifying it, creating modern structures, and further improving people's material well-being and standard of living.
The diplomat was also introduced to the structure and multilateral work of the Turkmen parliament in connection with the ongoing large-scale reforms.
