Ambassadors of Turkmenistan abroad talk about the city of Arkadag

Diplomatic missions of Turkmenistan abroad began to present the city of Arkadag, the first stage of which, we recall, the country's authorities promised to open in December last year, but have not done so yet.

Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Korea Begench Durdyev told the General Director of the Global Green Growth Institute (GGGI) Frank Reisberman about the “process of building a new city of Arkadag” . This was announced on February 1 by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.

According to Durdyev, "the concept of a new" smart city "allows the use of advanced practices of modern architecture using environmentally friendly building materials." Smart video surveillance systems and environmentally friendly electric buses and electric cars will be used in Arkadag.

In addition, the parties discussed projects and programs related to environmental protection and the development of a green economy.

On the same day, but already in Minsk, the Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Belarus, the representative of Turkmenistan to the statutory and other bodies of the CIS Nazarguly Shagulyev made a report on the construction of the new city of Arkadag at a meeting of the Council of Permanent Plenipotentiaries of the CIS Member States.

The diplomat said that the new city combines modern technologies and environmental standards, it is being built exclusively by Turkmen forces, and advanced world practices are used in the project.

The meeting participants, among whom was also the Chairman of the Executive Committee - Secretary General of the Commonwealth of Independent States Sergei Lebedev , were shown a video about Arkadag.
