Baku: A proposed amendment to the 'Defense Law' introduces regulations on territorial defense, which will be implemented by the Azerbaijani Armed Forces in coordination with state bodies, local self-governance authorities, and legal entities. The organization, preparation, and provision of territorial defense will be defined by the Charter on Azerbaijan's Territorial Defense, APA reports.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, this change has been included in the agenda for the National Assembly session scheduled for June 21. The proposal notes that the analysis of the 44-day Patriotic War and subsequent anti-terror operations necessitated a renewed focus on territorial defense issues in Azerbaijan.
