BAKU: António Guterres, the UN Secretary-General, expressed optimism regarding the potential for reaching an agreement during a press conference in Baku on Thursday. He emphasized the importance of transitioning from initial positions to identifying potential areas of compromise. "And now is the moment to move from the initial positions and to find the areas of possible compromise," Guterres stated, as reported by APA. According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Guterres conveyed that there remains enough time to forge an agreement, emphasizing the necessity of focusing on compromise rather than the initial stances of the parties involved. "There is still time. It is impossible and I am confident that the agreement can be reached," he asserted. The UN Secretary-General underscored that the primary concern is not the original positions held by each party but rather the pursuit of a compromise that would lead to an ambitious outcome.
