Arkadag Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov called on the OTS for partnership in transport and energy

Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of the Milli Gengesh of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov called on the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) to develop cooperation in transport and energy. He stated this while speaking at the OTS Summit, which opened on Friday in Samarkand.

 

Arkadag Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov noted that Turkmenistan, having joined the Organization as an observer, contributes to building the capacity of the OTS in the trade, economic, industrial, transport, environmental, cultural and humanitarian fields.

 

«We also strive to intensify trade and economic relations, increase and diversify trade between our countries. In particular, we are talking about the economic routes connecting our states, which we consider as a sustainable and basic system for the movement of goods, services and investments in the Eurasian space»,–emphasized the Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of the Milli Gengesh of Turkmenistan.

 

According to Hero-Arkadag, an important component of these routes is industrial cooperation, the unification of the industrial and technological potential of the OTS countries and the implementation of large joint infrastructure projects.

 

«Turkmenistan considers the activation of partnership in the transport and energy sector among the priorities of the Organization of Turkic States, which today also acts as a determinant of trends in overall economic growth»,–declared Arkadag Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.

 

«To timely and actively integrate into this process, using the existing competitive advantages, to secure the role of a full and effective participant in the formation of new transport and transit corridors, energy routes – I am convinced that these should become our common urgent tasks for the foreseeable future», –also emphasized Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of the Milli Gengesh of Turkmenistan.
