Armenia is ready to restore railway connection with Azerbaijan

Armenia is ready for taking practical and concrete steps in order to opening communications in the region, said Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan at the meeting of ministers of landlocked developing countries held in Yerevan, APA reports. 'Armenia's borders with Azerbaijan and Trkiye have been closed for more than 30 years. Today, we are speaking and discussing the possibility of transport communication's opening in the region,' Pashinyan underlined. Noted that Yerevan's attitude about transport communication's opening is reflected in 'The Crossroads of Peace' concept. Presenting the concept, the head of the Armenian government said that his country is ready to restore the connection with Azerbaijan along the previously existing railways in several directions: "First, the northern route connecting Azerbaijan's Gazakh region with Armenia's Tavush region, and secondly, among others, the western regions of Azerbaijan It is the southern route connecting Nakhchivan.
