Baku: Armenia will discuss Baku's invitation to participate in the 3rd CIS Games, according to Armenia's Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports, Zhanna Andreasyan. The invitation to the sporting event, which is set to take place in Azerbaijan, is under consideration with several factors, including security, playing a crucial role in the decision-making process. Andreasyan indicated that a public announcement would be made once a decision is reached.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Aygul Aghayeva, Head of Security and Operations at Baku City Circuit Operating Company, mentioned that Armenia's participation in the Games remains uncertain at this stage. While invitations have been extended to various countries, confirmation from Armenia is still pending. Aghayeva assured that any updates regarding Armenia's participation would be communicated as they arise.
The opening and closing ceremonies for the 3rd CIS Games are scheduled to be held at the Ganja city stadium, highlighting the significance of the event in the region.
