On the morning of September 13, a series of aftershocks occurred in northern Iran near the city of Quchan. The magnitude of the strongest of them, which occurred at 8:32 am local time (9:02 am Ashgabat), was 4.8-4.9, according to the Volcano Discovery website .
Its hearth lay at a depth of 10 km. According to the correspondents of the "Chronicle of Turkmenistan", the tremors were felt in Ashgabat, which is located 75 kilometers from the epicenter.
Volcano Discovery experts suggest that the earthquake should not have caused serious damage, although it was probably felt by residents of settlements within a radius of 90 km.
