A sports festival that took place in the indoor rock climbing area at the Älem Cultural and Entertainment Center was a special treat for young recreation enthusiasts.
Organized by the Agama Mountaineering Club in collaboration with the Children’s Fund of the Central Council of the Magtymguly Youth Organization of Turkmenistan, and the Berkarar Shopping and Entertainment Center, the competition brought together young climbers and parents who actively supported and encouraged their young adventure-seekers.
70-plus climbers between the ages of four and fourteen who had safety harnesses on were to ascend the vertical climbing wall. The organizers had created twelve climbing routes varying in difficulty. The young climbers, including the youngest group, successfully finished their routes and scaled the wall.
The festival participants received certificates from the Agama Mountaineering Club and prizes from the Children’s Fund of the Central Council of the Magtymguly Youth Organization of Turkmenistan and the Berkarar Shopping and Entertainment Center.
The Children’s Climbing Festival has been held for more than ten years and has provided a perfect springboard for many climbers en route to mountain climbing.
