Correspondents of Chronicles of Turkmenistan report that accountants employed by Ashgabat's government and public sector organizations are obliged to take professional development courses at their own expense.
In 2018 tuition fees for a twomonth course amounted to 323 manats. Now a monthlong course costs 300 manats.
Since courses are held during working hours, accountants are also required to promptly fulfill their jobrelated responsibilities.
According to them, they are not taught any news skills. The courses teach computerbased software skills and bank transactions the professionals are already using. However, you might face terminations in case you fail to obtain a course completion certificate.
Let us recall that in April 2019 Purli Agamyradov, Deputy Prime Minister overseeing science, education, healthcare and sports briefed President Gurbanguly Berdymukhammedov that starting from 1 May the executives of all levels will have to attend introductory digital economy courses.
