At a meeting of the Security Council, Serdar Berdimuhamedov spoke about the use of Alabaevs in the troops

On December 2, during a meeting of the Security Council of Turkmenistan, Deputy Prime Minister for Financial Affairs Serdar Berdimuhamedov , who also heads the International Association of Turkmen Alabay, reported to President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov on the work on the development of cynology in the country, the TDH state news agency reported .

According to the Deputy Prime Minister, the military and law enforcement agencies, which are members of the Association, use Alabaevs in the border troops, the protection of state and special facilities, at customs and migration points. In the future, the Association, together with law enforcement agencies, plans to organize special educational and training events in cynology.

According to Berdimuhamedov Jr., in April this year, for the first time, together with the Day of the Turkmen Horse, the Day of the Turkmen Alabay was celebrated. At the international Alabayev competition “Ýylyn türkmen edermen alabaýy” (“Brave Turkmen Alabai of the Year”), an alabai named Akhan won.

After the report, the head of state instructed his son, using the "experience of ancestors", to develop selection and improve the breed, as well as to train service dogs for law enforcement agencies.
