Austrian Foreign Minister Michael Linhart will visit Turkmenistan as part of a tour of Central Asia, according to the website of the Austrian Foreign Ministry.
During the talks on November 9, the situation in Afghanistan and economic cooperation will be discussed.
Together with Linhart, Austrian businessmen will come to Turkmenistan, who are aimed at establishing long-term cooperation with Turkmen partners.
In one of the messages on Twitter dedicated to the tour, the agency said that Austria will allocate 150 thousand doses of AstraZeneca vaccine to Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan.
According to Michael Linhart’s Twitter account , he traveled to Bishkek on November 5, where he met with President Sadyr Japarov and took part in the EU-Central Asia Forum. Within the framework of the Forum, the diplomat held a meeting with the special representative of the President of Kazakhstan for international cooperation, Yerzhan Kazykhan . On the 5-7th, Linhar was in Tajikistan, where he met with Foreign Minister Sirojiddin Muhriddin , and on the 8th, Uzbekistan arrived, where he held talks with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Abdulaziz Kamilov .
In Turkmenistan, Linhart will meet with President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and Foreign Minister Rashid Meredov .
Earlier it was reported that Austria and some other EU countries, having promised financial support to the countries neighboring Afghanistan, are trying to persuade them to accept refugees.
