Avaza to be closed to the public during the Caspian Forum

Correspondents of Chronicles of Turkmenistan report that in connection with the First Caspian Economic Forum which will be held in the national recreational zone Avaza on 1112 August, railway or airline tickets are no longer sold in Turkmenbashi for residents of Turkmenistan. Moreover, it is impossible to book a hotel room in Avaza.

The event organizers assume that some forum participants might want to stay a bit longer and for this reason the tickets and the hotel rooms booked or bought until the end of August were cancelled.

Transportation companies promised to reimburse the tickets which had been purchased.

The media outlet Turkmen news has previously reported that the hotels in Avaza will be closed during the forum.

All highranking government officials, including President Gurbanguly Berdymukhammedov, are currently in Avaza. Ministers, heads of provinces and executives of major enterprises are conducting preparatory work within their scope of responsibility.
