Avaza to host International Transport Conference in mid-August

On August 15-16, the Avaza National Tourist Zone in Turkmenistan will host an international conference at the level of ministers of transport of landlocked developing countries. Preparations for the event were discussed at the Cabinet on July 29, the state information agency TDH reports .

The conference will be devoted to the creation of transport and transit corridors and will be held jointly with the UN.

As Foreign Minister Rashid Meredov reported to President Serdar Berdimuhamedov , in the course of consultations with relevant UN structures, a preliminary draft of the Program of the event was prepared. For this, a working commission has also been created at the government level, the first meeting of which will be held on July 30.

To date, confirmation has been received on the participation of representatives of 25 states and 16 international organizations in the upcoming Forum, TDH reports.
