In January-March this year, the size of the average nominal wage in Azerbaijan made up AZN 901.3, which grew by 11.4% as compared to the same period of the last year.

According to State Statistical Committee, as of April 1 this year the number of employees in the country made up 1.736.300 people which is up by 35,000 people or 2% from the same period in 2022. At the same time, over the past 12 months the number of employees in the public sector has declined by 0.900.

Note that indexation of occupational pensions is carried out once a year, with an allowance for the growth of wages.
