Radio Azatlyk reports that Turkmenistan's Migration Office starting accepting documents to issue international travel passport to dual nationals who had obtained the citizenship of the Russian Federation after June 2003.
It is emphasized no official statements in this connection has been made so far by Turkmenistan or Russia.
Let us recall that Turkmenistan unilaterally rescinded the dual citizenship agreement with Russia in 2003 after a 25 year the deal to import the Turkmen gas to Russia had been signed.
This time the acceptance of documents to issue international travel passports for dual nationals by Turkmenistan's Migration Office timed to coincide with the signing of a fiveyear gas supply contract between Gazprom and Turkmengas.
