Prospects of cooperation between Azerbaijan and Georgia in the oil and gas sector and renewable energy were discussed at the meeting of SOCAR President Rovshan Najaf with First Deputy Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia Romeo Mikautadze. According to the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan, it was noted at the meeting that cooperation between Azerbaijan and Georgia is successfully developing in all areas of the economy, including in the energy sector. It was noted that the mutual visits of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev to Georgia last year and Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili this year gave a new impetus to the development of strategic partnership relations. Satisfaction with SOCAR's successful activities in Georgia was also expressed at the meeting, and views were exchanged on other issues of mutual interest.
