Azerbaijan and Turkey Enhance Collaboration in Science and Education

Baku: The First Deputy Minister of Defense of the Republic of Azerbaijan - Chief of the General Staff of the Azerbaijan Army, Colonel General Karim Valiyev, met with a delegation led by Deputy Rector of the Turkish National Defense University, Professor Talat Canbolat, as reported by the Ministry of Defense to APA. The meeting marked a significant step in broadening the exchange of experiences in science and education between Azerbaijan and Turkey.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the delegation's visit included paying respects at the graves of National Leader Heydar Aliyev and academician Zarifa Aliyeva in the Alley of Honor, as well as visits to the Alley of Martyrs and the Turkish Martyrs' Cemetery. These acts of homage were carried out by laying flowers and paying tribute to the memory of these notable figures.

During the meeting at the General Staff of the Azerbaijan Army, Colonel General Valiyev welcomed the Turkish guests, expressing his satisfaction with their presence in Azerbaijan. He emphasized the importance of the relationship between Azerbaijan and Turkey, grounded in shared history, culture, and values. Valiyev noted that the Azerbaijani-Turkish cooperation, now elevated to a strategic partnership, is vital for the security and development of both nations. He pointed out that expanding relations in military education opens up significant opportunities for innovative projects.

Professor Canbolat, expressing gratitude for the warm hospitality, highlighted the positive influence of such mutual visits and discussions on enhancing cooperation in military education. He stressed the value of exchanging scientific knowledge and experiences between the two countries.

Subsequently, the Turkish delegation engaged in a meeting with Colonel General Bahtiyar Ersay, Adviser to the Minister of Defense of Azerbaijan. This meeting involved a detailed exchange of views on joint projects aimed at training professional personnel and addressed several issues of mutual interest.
