Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan Discuss Media Cooperation at Central Asia Media Forum

Astana: A bilateral meeting was held between Ahmad Ismailov, Executive Director of the Media Development Agency, and Asadjan Khojaev, Director General of the Information and Mass Communications Agency under the Administration of the President of Uzbekistan, as part of the II Central Asia Media Forum on the topic "Central Asia in the Era of Global Challenges: Media as a Strategic Development Tool," held in the capital of Kazakhstan, Astana.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the meeting highlighted the importance of organizing conferences, practical sessions, and meetings of working groups to ensure information exchange between the two countries. The discussions focused on mechanisms for mutual cooperation, emphasizing the need for collaboration in the field of media literacy, informing society, and creating a healthy information environment.

A broad exchange of views took place regarding the "Roadmap for the Development of Media Cooperation between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Uzbekistan." The meeting also discussed the upcoming II Azerbaijan-Uzbekistan Media Forum, which is planned to be held in Baku. Additionally, the organization of mutual visits by the heads of communication-related departments of both countries' state structures and journalists was considered as a means to further strengthen media ties.
