Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan Presidents Discuss Strengthening Bilateral Ties

Baku: Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a phone conversation on March 20, as reported by APA. During the call, President Mirziyoyev extended congratulations to President Aliyev and the people of Azerbaijan in celebration of the Novruz holiday, expressing wishes for prosperity and happiness.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, President Aliyev expressed his gratitude for the warm wishes and reciprocated by congratulating the Uzbek President and the people of Uzbekistan on the Novruz holiday. This celebration of shared culture and values was marked by wishes for abundance and well-being.

The discussion between the two presidents highlighted the successful development of strategic allied relations between Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan. The leaders commended the effective implementation of directives and joint projects aimed at strengthening bilateral cooperation, noting an increase in trade turnover and joint initiatives in sectors such as mechanical engineering, textiles, electrical engineering, energy, agriculture, and tourism.
